“Establishment of PAK-KOREA Testing Facility for Solar & Allied Equipment”

Ø Project Description
The objectives of the subject project are as follows
i. Establishment of Testing Laboratory to facilitate the “Introduction of Quality Standards for Import and locally developed Solar PV and allied equipment in Pakistan” as advised by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), Ministry of Water & Power and Ministry of Science & Technology. (Annex-IV)
ii. To provide a facility to local producers of the Solar PV Modules & Solar Inverters for the testing and maintenance of International Quality Standards.
iii. Promotion, development and dissemination of Renewable Energy Technologies Applications in the country
iv. To provide awareness of “Quality/ Safety Standards” in clean renewable energy technologies/ products among the masses; through media campaigns, Seminars/ Workshops etc.
v. Enhance technical cooperation/collaboration between Pakistan and Korea in the field of Renewable Energy Technologies.
