INTRODUCTION:              

              

“Establishment of PAK-KOREA Testing Facility for Solar & Allied Equipment”

Ø  Project Description

                       The objectives of the subject project are as follows

i.          Establishment of Testing Laboratory to facilitate the “Introduction of Quality Standards for Import and locally developed Solar PV and allied equipment in Pakistan” as advised by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), Ministry of Water & Power and Ministry of Science & Technology. (Annex-IV)

ii.             To provide a facility to local producers of the Solar PV Modules & Solar Inverters for the testing and maintenance of International Quality Standards.

iii.      Promotion, development and dissemination of Renewable Energy Technologies Applications in the country

iv.        To provide awareness of “Quality/ Safety Standards” in clean renewable energy technologies/ products among the masses; through media campaigns, Seminars/ Workshops etc.

                  v.                 Enhance technical cooperation/collaboration between Pakistan and Korea in the                                        field of Renewable Energy Technologies.

For registration  Click here Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technology (PCRET) is establishing the subject solar panel testing laboratory under a grant-aid project from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).  The solar panel testing laboratory is planned to achieve the status of Certification Body Testing Laboratory (CBTL) in collaboration with Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA). The testing laboratory after its completion will be the first testing laboratory of the country having CBTL status. In this regard, PCRET in collaboration with KOICA, Pakistan office is going to perform ground breaking ceremony on 29th July, 2022, 10:00 A.M. (Friday) at the project site located at Plot no. 55, Street 7, Sector H-8/4, Islamabad, followed by the formal ceremony at Margala Hall of the Margala Hotel, near convention center, Islamabad.   Ground Breaking Ceremony for  ESTABLISHMENT OF PAK-KOREA TESTING LABORATORY FOR PV MODULES & ALLIED EQUIPMENT Press Release: Federal Secretary for Science and Technology, Mr. Ghulam Muhammad Memon inaugurated Establishment of Pak-Korea Testing Laboratory for PV-Modules and Allied Equipment" today on 29-07-2022. Ambassador of Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Sangpyo Suh and Director General PCRET Dr. Syed Atta.ur.Rehman graced the event with their presence. Details: Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technology (PCRET) is establishing solar panel testing laboratory under the project titled “Establishment of PAK-KOREA Testing Laboratory for PV Modules and Allied Equipment”.
